R50 Clear Edition: LASIK Pre-Assessment

A LASIK pre-assessment is a comprehensive eye examination that evaluates your eye health and helps determine whether you may be suitable for LASIK surgery. It assesses factors such as corneal thickness, corneal shape, vision and retinal health to help the surgeon recommend an appropriate treatment option.

This package includes:

• Consultation with our LASIK Surgeon
• Comprehensive eye examination, including:
  • Corneal mapping and imaging
  • Measurement of corneal thickness and curves
  • Real-time, high-speed imaging of corneal bending, deformation and rebound
  • Corneal endothelial imaging
  • Visual acuity and refraction tests
  • Widefield retinal imaging
  • Cross-sectional macula scan

LASIK would need to be completed within three months of the pre-assessment, otherwise a re-assessment is required.

 Things to note before your appointment:

• Stop wearing contact lenses at least 1 week before the assessment. Hard or rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses require a longer break, so please confirm the required period with our staff before your appointment.

• Inform our staff before the assessment if you are taking any long-term medication, especially steroids, hormonal treatments, immunosuppressants or isotretinoin.

• Inform us if you are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.

• The LASIK assessment takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. Your pupils will be dilated for a comprehensive examination and may remain dilated for the rest of the day. You may experience glare, light sensitivity and difficulty with near vision. These effects will subside once your pupils return to their normal size.

• Do not drive on the day of the assessment or surgery. Consider bringing sunglasses to help with glare and light sensitivity.

• LASIK surgery cannot be performed on the same day as the assessment or the following day due to pupil dilation.

• Price is in Singapore dollars and inclusive of GST.

• This package must be used within 12 months from the date of purchase.

• Upon purchase, a redemption letter will be sent to your email. The letter may only be used to redeem the package indicated.

• The redemption letter must be presented upon registration at the clinic, together with your NRIC or other identification document.

• Available at Raffles LASIK Centre at Raffles Specialist Centre, Singapore.

• Items in the package are non-exchangeable and non-refundable, including unutilised portion.

• You may transfer the package to another person. Please fill in the authorisation form accordingly.

• Not valid with other corporate programmes.

• Health screening reports will be emailed to the patient's registered email address. Physical copies are available upon request.
